| Pilates
is a slow controlled flowing exercise program that focuses on
the core postural muscles that help to keep the body balanced
and are fundamental to providing support for the spine. Pilates
unites the mind and body focusing on concentration, precision,
balance and breathing. The deeper awareness of the cylinder of
strength within us will create a greater control over movements.
Discovering this centre of gravity will allow us to glide in and
out of the pilates exercises with fluidity and grace. In Pilates
we breathe to channel core energy into the centre of the body
and out to the limbs. In Pilates, the periphery comes out of the
core.
